Terms and Conditions

These terms apply to purchases made directly from Caravanserai Press through caravanseraipress.com. Purchases made through Amazon, Apple Books, Google Play, booksellers or other external retailers are subject to that retailer’s own terms.
1. Orders and payment
Prices are shown in the currency displayed on the website. Delivery charges, where applicable, are shown before you place your order.
Payment is taken through the payment methods offered at checkout.
We may cancel and refund an order if a product is unavailable, there has been an obvious pricing or listing error, or we are unable to fulfil or deliver the order.
2. Physical books and delivery
We sell physical books to customers in the UK and internationally where delivery is available.
Delivery costs are calculated or displayed at checkout. Estimated delivery times are estimates rather than guaranteed delivery dates.
For international orders, customs duties, import taxes, handling fees or other charges may be imposed by the destination country or carrier. Where these charges have not been collected by us at checkout, they are the responsibility of the recipient.
Please make sure that your delivery address is complete and accurate when placing your order.
3. Cancellations and returns
If you are a UK consumer buying physical goods online, you normally have the right to cancel your order within 14 days after receiving it, without giving a reason.
After telling us that you wish to cancel, you have a further 14 days to return the goods.
Unless the goods are faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied, you are responsible for the cost of returning them.
If you cancel within your statutory cancellation period, we will refund the price of the returned goods and the cost of our standard delivery option. Additional amounts paid for an enhanced delivery service are not refundable.
Returned books should be handled only as reasonably necessary to inspect them. We may reduce a refund if goods have been handled beyond what would reasonably be permitted in a shop and their value has been reduced.
These cancellation rights do not apply to goods that have been made to your specifications or clearly personalised, such as a copy personally inscribed with a name or message at your request.
A standard signed copy that has not been personalised to you is not treated as a personalised item under these terms.
4. Faulty or incorrect goods
If a book arrives damaged, faulty, materially not as described, or you receive the wrong item, please contact us through the Contact page.
Nothing in these terms limits your statutory consumer rights.
5. Digital books and downloads
Digital products are supplied in the format stated on the product page, such as EPUB or PDF.
Before receiving an immediately available paid digital download, you may be asked to expressly consent to supply beginning during the statutory cancellation period and to acknowledge that you will lose your cancellation right once the digital content is made available.
This does not affect your legal rights if digital content is faulty, corrupted, not as described or otherwise does not conform to the contract.
Digital files purchased from Caravanserai Press are licensed for your personal use unless expressly stated otherwise. You may not commercially distribute, resell or make copies publicly available without permission from the relevant rights holder.
6. Free Access in Iran
Certain digital editions may be made available free of charge to eligible readers in Iran.
Access to those editions is subject to the separate Free Access in Iran Terms and declarations presented during the access process.
The Free Access in Iran programme does not make the work generally free, public domain or freely redistributable.
7. Refunds
Approved refunds will normally be made to the original payment method.
For cancelled physical orders covered by UK distance-selling rights, refunds will be made within the periods required by applicable consumer law.
8. External retailers
Links to Amazon, Apple Books, Google Play Books and other retailers are provided for convenience.
When you purchase through an external retailer, your transaction is with that retailer and its prices, delivery arrangements, returns policy, privacy policy and terms apply.
9. Intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, the books, text, images, cover designs, branding and other material on this website are protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights.
Nothing on this website gives permission to reproduce, distribute or commercially use protected material except where expressly permitted.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when our products, services or legal requirements change. The version applying to an order is the version in force when the order is placed.
